Children’s Ministry & Sunday Funday
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 12770 Saratoga Ave, Saratoga, CA 95070
About
Children’s Ministry & Sunday Funday includes telling stories, doing crafts, and playing games. During the program, children spend time learning about God, themselves, and one another. Children, with or without an adult, are invited forward for a time with the pastor or pastors that focuses on a child's thoughts and responses, and kids in 1st grade and under are also invited to use the Joy Room during the worship service. The Sunday Funday program is primarily for children in K–5th grade.
• Ages: 5–11 years old
• Schedule: Regular Sunday worship indoors at 10:00 am on Sundays, with children’s time lasting about 25 minutes
The program is part of a church community whose mission is to celebrate God's grace and glory, share the message of God's love, serve the hopes and hurts of neighbors and participants, and strengthen the God-given talents of the church family. This congregation is a Reconciling in Christ congregation, publicly affirming a commitment to be a welcoming community of faith for LGBTQ+ people and their families. It describes itself as an open table, open hearts, open minds, meaningful music, kind of community, and states a belief in the full participation of all people in the church community without regard to socioeconomic, family, or immigration status, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, previous faith or life experiences, physical or mental abilities, ethnicity, or age. The church also lists community outreach activities that include homeless ministries, a rotating safe car parking shelter, a meal ministry, volunteering, and an Adopt a Highway effort.
