Saratoga Star Aquatics Swim Programs offers swimming programs for children that include swimming lessons, competitive swim team training, and competitive training. The program also offers health club membership options and provides a free in-water evaluation for new and returning swimmers who have not taken classes in over 3 months. Swimming lessons are available at all levels from beginning to pre-competitive for young swimmers 6 months to 17 years old, with a small class ratio of 1:4 and up and highly trained and certified instructors.

• Schedule: Year-round programs with extended hours and free in-water evaluations offered on Saturdays from 12:40 PM to 1:15 PM and Wednesdays from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM
The program runs in an indoor teaching and training facility that houses the largest indoor swimming pool in the Bay Area and offers year-round indoor aquatics programs. Evaluations are required for all new students and for returning students who have not taken classes in over 3 months, and swimmers must be ready with swimsuit and goggles and check in at the front desk at least 10 minutes early for evaluations. During the swim lessons shutdown from December 23rd to January 1st, the pool remains open all day for members. The facility also offers health club membership benefits to individuals and families, with a variety of options and plans that give unlimited access to the facility, and competitive swim team members have competed at Grand Prix events, the US Open, Junior Nationals, and Olympic Trials.
The aquatics facility is led by Olympic champion coaches and world-famous swimming champions and coaches. Lin Li is a four-time Olympic champion and five-year-long World Record holder who swam at the Olympics for China in 1988, 1992, and 1996, set a World Record by winning China’s first gold in the Women’s 200-meter Individual Medley in 2:11.65, earned silver medals in both the 200-meter breaststroke and 400-meter individual medley, swam for China at the 1991 World Championships, the Asian Games in 1990 and 1994, and the Pan Pacific Championships in 1989 and 1991, and later relocated to San Jose to teach. Abi Liu was recruited to the Chinese National Team after winning the Junior National Championships at 13 years old, won the National Championships twice, won the 1993 FINA World Cup, became a silver medalist at the 1994 Asian Games, holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, coached the USA Swimming Diversity Camp at the Olympic Training Center and the North American Challenge Cup, assisted the 2008 USA Olympic Team, and coached and directed aquatics for Stanford Campus Recreation Association. Abi Liu has received the 2009 Pacific Swimming Age Group Coach of the Year award and is recognized as an American Swimming Coaches Association Level 5 coach.
