About
Call of the Sea Summer Camp includes sailing, seamanship, marine science, art, and project-based learning. Campers take part in activities such as sailing aboard the schooner Seaward and the brigantine Matthew Turner, learning about marine life, learning seafaring arts such as knots, going on walks, playing games, and beach combing. The program includes safety gear, marine science materials, craft materials, and snacks.

One parent from Hidden Hills Elementary School described a youth sail on October 14 as “terrific from start to finish,” noting that the coordinator greeted students, gave clear directions, shared information throughout the sail, responded to questions, and that the sailing crew and instructors were informative and patient. The same parent reported that the program was well organized and that students said they learned a lot, felt relaxed, and repeatedly used the word “calm” to describe their experience. Call of the Sea is proud to partner with the media to promote educational programs for youth.
