Pine Point Cooking School

Pine Point Cooking School offers cooking camps for kids that focus on practical kitchen skills. The program also includes classes in Mediterranean cuisine, with class time split between demonstrations and as much hands-on cooking as possible. Class size is limited to no more than six students to allow for individual attention and participation.

Pine Point Cooking School emphasizes the use of local, organic produce, dairy, and poultry, as well as sustainable seafood. Students learn to eat what is in season and to eat wisely, along with kitchen safety and cleanliness. Instruction covers the use and care of kitchen equipment, how to read a recipe, and organizational techniques. Students also learn balanced meal planning and nutrition, plus basic culinary techniques with a bit of kitchen science. The school states that its mission is learning how to cook with love the way the instructor’s mother taught, enjoying the food with family and friends, and learning to be discerning about what you eat.
