Pine Point Cooking School

Pine Point Cooking School offers classes in Mediterranean cuisine and cooking camps for kids. Class size is limited to no more than six students, and classes are partially demonstration with as much hands-on participation as possible. Students learn basic culinary techniques with a bit of kitchen science while working in a small group setting.

The program emphasizes local, organic produce, dairy, and poultry, as well as sustainable seafood. It focuses on eating what is in season and eating wisely, and on learning to eat with pleasure, like the Italians and the French. Students learn kitchen safety and cleanliness, the use and care of kitchen equipment, how to read a recipe, organizational techniques, and balanced meal planning and nutrition.

According to the mission statement, Pine Point Cooking School centers on learning how to cook with love in the way the founder’s mother taught, enjoying the food with family and friends, and learning to be discerning about what to eat.
