Camps

Camps at the Bay Area Discovery Museum are part of a broader set of museum programs that include immersive experiences that spark creativity, foster curiosity, and encourage meaningful connections between children, their families, and the world around them. The museum’s mission states that every child has the potential to grow and thrive through joyful play, and the camps operate within this mission. Camps are offered alongside other initiatives such as STEAM Workshops and the Try It Truck, as well as access programs like Museums for All that offer discounted admission.

• Schedule: Museum open Wednesday–Sunday, 10 AM–4 PM, with a Member Hour from 9–10 AM on those same days

The Bay Area Discovery Museum partners with local schools and organizations, including San Francisco Unified School District and San Rafael, and collaborates with local educators, nonprofits, and community leaders. The museum’s mission extends beyond its campus through access programs, STEAM Workshops, and the Try It Truck. It also provides professional development workshops, family programs, and educational resources for parents, teachers, and caregivers.
