Mission Springs Outdoor Education uses hands-on science and team-building activities with students. Class topics include redwood ecology, stream ecology, environmental stewardship (including solar energy and organic gardening), astronomy, and marine field trips for 4th–6th-grade students. Classes focus on the natural sciences, environmental stewardship, and team-building and have been tailored to support the California Science Standards for 5th and 6th grade.

Mission Springs Outdoor Education serves both public and private schools in Northern and Central California. The Naturalist team is comprised of recent college graduates who are passionate about educating 5th and 6th-grade students about the natural world. The program’s mission statement is that Mission Springs Outdoor Education utilizes hands-on science and team-building activities to foster positive student relationships and promote good environmental stewardship.
