Wings School of Dance

Wings School of Dance offers Toddler Time, where children ages 2-3 years old do dance exploration with ABC and 123 songs and use parachutes, instruments, mats, and more. It also offers Creative Dance Classes for ages 2.5-5 years old, with structured dance exploration that introduces Ballet, Tap, and/or Tumbling in themed exercises. For ages 5-7, the school offers Ballet/Tap/Jazz classes with introductory ballet and jazz technique, and for ages 7 and up it offers Level I-III Group Classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, or Hip Hop, along with rehearsal and performance etiquette for the annual recital.

Programs

• Toddler Time — 2-3 years old · Once a week, 30 minutes · Dance exploration with ABC and 123 songs; uses parachutes, instruments, mats and more.
• Creative Dance Classes (TutuCute & Leaping Lily Pads) — 2.5-5 years old · Once a week, 45 minutes · Structured dance exploration introducing Ballet, Tap and/or Tumbling in themed exercises. Students must be potty trained.
• Ballet/Tap/Jazz classes — 5-7 years old · Once a week, 45 minutes · Introductory ballet and jazz technique with a whimsical flare.
• Level I-III Group Classes — 7 and up · Once a week, one hour · Technique in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical or Hip Hop; includes rehearsal and performance etiquette in preparation for the annual recital.
• Ballet — Based on the Cecchetti method with emphasis on grace, poise, proper body lines, and proper technique.
• Jazz — Incorporates traditional, Broadway and contemporary styles in a high energy, fun atmosphere.
• Tap — Includes basic footwork, musicality and rhythm with high-energy routines.
• Summer Camps — 2.5 years old and up · Throughout the summer months · 4-day themed camps with dance exploration, a themed craft project, and a routine performed for parents at the end of the week.

About the provider

Wings School of Dance is a private dance school committed to quality dance education in a nurturing environment. The owner is Wendy Phillips. Wendy Phillips integrates her dance experience with the Professional Teaching Standards for Dance Arts set forth by the National Dance Education Organization, and she is a member of both the National Dance Education Organization and the California Dance Educators Association.

First class is complimentary. Registration begins on August 1. One-time annual registration fee is $55.00 due prior to the child's first dance lesson; additional siblings at same address are $30.00, with family fee not to exceed $100.00. Drop-in fee for Level I-V classes is $25.00 per class. Tiered tuition applies to 60-minute classes: 1 class/week $99.00/month; 2nd $89.00/month; 3rd $79.00/month; 4th $69.00/month; 5th $59.00/month; 6+ classes $400 unlimited/month.
