AYSO Region 159 Youth Soccer Programs offers youth soccer programs that focus on organized soccer activities for children and teens. The program includes specific offerings such as the Core Program and AYSO Region 159 Extra Program, along with AYSO PLAY! and PLAYSOCCER events.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
AYSO Region 159 Youth Soccer Programs follows AYSO's Six Philosophies and emphasizes good sportsmanship and player development as part of its soccer activities. The program includes SILENT WEEKEND, a Zero Tolerance Policy, youth referees, and a Referee Training Camp. AYSO Region 159 is part of the broader American Youth Soccer Organization, whose mission statement is “Providing world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives.” Michael Karon, President of AYSO, is part of the leadership and has received the Stack Leadership Award recognizing his impact in the world of sports volunteering. Community involvement connected to AYSO includes partnerships with Chicago Public Schools, the US Center for Mental Health & Sport, and the Northland Sports Alliance, as well as support for U.S. Soccer to improve SafeSport. AYSO events connected to the organization include the AYSO 2023 National Games at the Great Park in Orange County and the AYSO National Open Cup 2017 hosted by the City of Lancaster at the Lancaster National Soccer Center, along with AYSO United + AYSO EPIC - Rancho Conejo.
