About

West Orange County Youth Basketball League (West OC YBL) offers basketball leagues, club basketball teams, league games, and tournament games. The program includes a youth league for 1st through 8th grade that is open to both individual players and full teams. League play includes a playoff system in which teams of similar levels are grouped against each other, with Gold, Silver, and Bronze subdivisions and re-seeding after the second game.

• Ages: 6–14 years old
• Schedule: Four seasons during the year with league play in Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer
• Price: Offering the best product in the local area for a great price, with a competitive registration fee, no additional fees, secured and scheduled court time with gym time included in one low price, and no hidden fees with all fees known up front

The league runs four seasons: Fall runs from mid August to the end of October with registration from June to August; Winter runs from December to the last week of January with registration from August to October; Spring runs from mid March to the first week of May with registration from January to March; Summer runs from mid June to the last week of July with registration from April to May. Divisions are based on grade level: Freshmen (1st/2nd), Junior Varsity (3rd/4th), Varsity (5th/6th), and Varsity Senior (7th/8th), and divisions may be co-ed or split boys/girls depending on who registers. Playoffs are described as highly competitive and fun, and the league states that it provides fair and consistent officiating.

West OC YBL lists core values of teamwork, sportsmanship, camaraderie, integrity, fairness, safety, community, and fun. The stated objectives for kids are to develop a passion for basketball, improve basketball skills, learn the true meaning of teamwork, exhibit great sportsmanship, and have fun. Bryan Gray is the Founder and Director of West OC YBL, Commissioner and President of Alley-Oop Youth Basketball, Inc., founder of Alley-Oop Youth Basketball, an active community resident, and a father of two boys. Bryan has over 20 seasons of coaching experience in multiple sports and has spent a majority of the past 15 years coaching football and basketball. Bryan partnered with OGP in August 2024 to continue his mission in bringing basketball to the West Orange County area, and together they formed West OC YBL.
