Sun-N-Fun Creative Playgroup includes social development, problem solving, conflict resolution, language development, and self-confidence building. Children take part in creative enrichment through art and child-centered craft activities, varied music experiences, imaginative play such as dress up and role play, and both large and fine motor skill activities. The program also includes pre-reading skills such as name writing and alphabet awareness, pre-mathematic activities, science projects, and cooking, with active play in the well equipped Sun-N-Fun play yard. Children must be potty trained.

• Schedule: Senior class attends 3 days per week from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; junior class attends 2 days per week from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
• Price: $100 non-refundable annual fee; $150 annual materials fee; $325 monthly tuition, senior class; $265 monthly tuition, junior class
Sun-N-Fun Creative Playgroup is a cooperative parent participation preschool that began in 1966. Parents are involved in the planning and operation of the school, work at the school approximately two times per month with a possibility of two emergency work days per month, attend a monthly evening meeting, hold a job within the school, keep a designated area clean, and participate in fundraisers. Parents are asked to attend field trips, which include one walking and one driving trip per month, and there are a limited number of non-working parent spots per class per year. The program follows the Los Alamitos Unified School District school year calendar, has an adult to child ratio of 1 to 5, and a class size of 15–20 students per day, with a minimum age of 3 years old by December 1st for junior attendees and 4 years old by December 1st for senior attendees.
The program runs a supportive, self-directive program designed to stimulate the children's imaginations and meet their needs, and the intimate social setting at Sun-N-Fun fosters each child’s emerging independence in a safe and focused arena. Its stated philosophy is to encourage children's natural curiosity and quest for knowledge in a loving, caring environment. Sun-N-Fun Creative Playgroup is a member of the California Association of Parent Participation Nursery Schools and holds DSS License#300600936. Ms. Jenna Miller has been working with the children and parents at Sun-N-Fun since 2011.
