Kind Hearts Academy

Kind Hearts Academy includes STEM projects, animal care, gardening, and experiential learning programs. The program features ongoing projects, field trips, adventures to local parks and farms, and time for students to create games. It utilizes time together to dig into subjects the students want to learn more about but do not have time for during the school year.

Kind Hearts Academy follows the mission, “Begin with kindness. Foster a love of learning. Wander and wonder. Experiential learning programs for children of all ages. Fostering universal acceptance and a love of learning, together.” The program includes an academic focus, curriculum support, school continuity, additional tutoring, and play-based learning with an experiential focus. It offers transportation from school, customizable schedules, and custom pricing packages. The program uses H.E.A.R.T. values: Home (openness, equality, feeling of family), Exposure (broadening views, skills, community, knowledge, creativity), Adventure (experiences, field trips, enthusiasm for exploration in nature), Responsibility (trust, reliability, safety), and Transparency (welcoming parent involvement in the community). The program dedicates a lot of time to social emotional development and practices these skills during daily conversations about big feelings, using kind words, how children treat their friends, and offering tools to help in difficult situations. The program is led by a certified teacher with over a decade of experience who loves supporting children’s growth and development. One parent, Robin, shares that “Kelly’s ongoing contribution to our daughter’s academic success is significant. The emotional development Kelly works into her program helps our daughter, and the rest of the family, navigate these difficult times with a joyful, caring heart.”
