About the provider

Mt. Gilead is a Christian camp and conference center in northern California. The homepage says it is "unabashedly a Bible camp." Since 1963, only three Executive Directors have led this ministry.

Mt. Gilead has a no visitor policy. Accepted items listed include closed-toe shoes, flip-flops or sandals, Bible, notebook, pen/pencil, clothes for a week including messy game clothes, warm clothing/jacket, swim suit, towel, toiletries, sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, and insulated water bottles. Items not to bring include cell phones/tablets/mp3 players, knives and weapons, alcohol, controlled and recreational substances, matches/lighters, and fireworks. Medications must be presented to the camp nurse in original containers.
