The Great Burro Studios

The Great Burro Studios offers music instruction that includes performance, experience, and awareness. The program provides weekly private lessons for piano, voice, song-writing, guitar, bass, drums, and ukulele. It also offers a rock band camp, a summer diva camp, group music and movement classes with kids from 6 months old and up, and the chance to record an album, EP, or demo in a studio setting.

The Great Burro Studios is described as a very vibe-oriented and economically viable studio setting. The studio's founder and primary music instructor, Spencer Burrows, has a music education from Sonoma State University and a certificate from Berklee College of Music in Boston. The leadership team includes Spencer Burrows, Diana Walker (vocal coach and piano), Justin T. Leonard (listed under private lessons in the studio), and Kris Dilbeck (band-partner of Spencer Burrows). In his teachings, Spencer focuses on each student as their own artist and often encourages songwriting and performing, covering basic music theory, ear training, sight-reading, rhythm, pitch, and improvisation, and including his stated philosophies of “honor, respect, communication, dedication, and FUN!” His music career with Frobeck (2005–2018) and The Big Fit (2019) received multiple nominations, winning Best R&B Band from the Bohemian in 2019 and Best Rock Band in 2008, and The Big Fit is a NORBAY winner. His students have been accepted as music majors to Berklee College of Music, Musicians Institute, and UCLA. Students have reflected on their positive experience at The Great Burro Studios.
