About
Camp El-O-Win is a summer camping program where campers live in cabins, tents, or wooden teepees. The camp includes 58 pine-forested acres with Dinkey Creek running through the property, and it serves girls and groups as one of Dinkey Creek’s summer camping destinations.
• Ages: 6–17 years old
• Price: Campers entering 1st – 12th grades who register between now and March 31st for an El-O-Win camp event will receive a 15% discount off the published price for the event.
Big changes happened during Camp El-O-Win’s 65th year at its current location. Camp El-O-Win has a land acknowledgment recognizing the original territory and ancestral lands of the Nyyhmy (Western Mono, Monache) Nation, including one in the dining hall. This land acknowledgment was brought by Girl Scout Gold Awardee Zeena Bangar (Troop #3391) with local Mono tribe representatives and was sponsored by the Beth E. Buchanan Memorial Fund. The camp states a commitment to preservation of the grounds through using the “Leave No Trace” principle and honoring the land’s history.
