• Schedule: The Point Ride lasts about 50 minutes to 1 hour; the Dorabella Cove Ride lasts about 1 hour 50 minutes to 2 hours; Private Rides range from 1 to 3 hours, with online bookings closing 24 hours before standard rides and 48 hours before specialty rides, and a five-day advance booking required for Private Rides.

Children 6 years or older may ride the trail and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult when riding. Children 12 and under are required to wear helmets, and helmets are provided or riders may bring their own horse-specific riding helmet. The Evening Ride requires a minimum of 4 people, is by appointment only, and must be booked 48 hours in advance. Experience is required to trot and or lope a horse on Private Rides. Riders are asked to arrive 30 minutes before ride time, wear closed-toe shoes, and are recommended to wear long pants. The maximum rider weight is 230 pounds with no exceptions, and double riding is not offered. Selfie sticks and unmounted GoPros are not allowed. In most cases, riders must be able to mount from the ground with little or no assistance and must dismount without a block, with guides assisting. Reservations require payment in full at the time of booking, there are no refunds, and rescheduling requests must be received 24 hours before the scheduled ride time. The program states that horseback riding is an athletic sport that takes some form of fitness and balance to ride a 1,000- to 1,200-pound live animal, and that mistreatment of a horse or guides will result in termination of the ride, with the rider walking back to the station and forfeiting the rate. Shaver Stable is now open for the 2026 season and lists real-time availability through its online booking program, with online or phone bookings accepted.
