Act Out Theatre Company

About the provider

In 2012, Act Out Theatre Company recognized a community of kids and families in greater Long Beach who wanted a creative outlet but could not afford available options. The organization says it impacts over 300 youth and families each year throughout Long Beach and surrounding communities. It also describes the Friends of Act Out partnership team, a coalition of parents, staff, volunteers, and community members who support the mission.

The organization seeks to provide a safe and creative environment. It aims to bridge the gap between families who can afford high-level arts programs and those who cannot, and to provide opportunities for children who may not be able to participate in arts programs at school.
