AGA was established in 1989 and is led by owners Shane and Carol. Signal Hill is described as the program’s home, and its 800+ students are described as an integral part of its family. The program states that dedication and determination learned through years of hard work at American Gymnastics Academy contributed to athletes Kristin Chang, Jennifer Kasler, Triandie Wold, Nicole Kilroy, Hailey Gaspar, Holly Partridge, Richelle Asa, Sekai Wright, and Trisha Raquel becoming National Champions. American Gymnastics Academy has also been a partner in helping athletes receive collegiate athletic scholarships from institutions such as Cal Berkley, UC Davis, UCSB, Cal State Fullerton, Boise State, UCLA, San Jose State, and Arizona Christian.
