About
Bubbles Swim School offers swimming instruction that includes the SWIM-FLOAT-SWIM method, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and basic diving skills on an outdoor diving board. Classes use a soft touch method with an emphasis on comfort and safety, and instructors work hands-on in the pool to aid development of proper technique and stamina. Classes are grouped by skill and appropriate age, and children learn techniques that prepare them for a swim team.
• Ages: 0–12 years old
• Schedule: Registration for the June 29th session takes place on June 20th from 9:00–12:00 in person (refer to the 2026 Schedule for more details).
Bubbles Swim School uses a heated pool kept at 94 degrees and maintains a 3 to 1 student-to-instructor ratio in its very small classes. Parent involvement in classes is very minimal; parents are only needed for young swimmers who do not sit at the step area independently, and in those cases parents sit with their feet in the water. Toddlers and preschool-age children are able to take lessons independent of their parents, and school-age children participate in the small 3:1 ratio classes. The program’s mission statement notes that Bubbles Swim School offers an environment and technique of instruction that makes the program unique, and that swimming is the one sport that has the potential to one day save a child’s life. The program states that it has been teaching for over 50 years.
