About
Bubbles Swim School offers swim instruction using a unique instruction method that includes a SWIM-FLOAT-SWIM approach. Instructors work hands-on in a pool heated to 94 degrees, and children can learn basic diving skills using an outdoor diving board. Classes are grouped by skill and appropriate age, with very small classes and a 3 to 1 ratio to give individual attention, and students can start as young as 3 months.
• Ages: 0–17 years old
• Schedule: April 6 – May 16, with registration on Saturday, March 28th from 9:00–12:00
Bubbles Swim School uses a soft touch method with an emphasis on comfort and safety, and parent involvement in classes is very minimal. Parents are only needed in the water for young swimmers who do not sit at the step area independently, and otherwise parents sit with their feet in the water while toddlers and preschool-age children take lessons independent of their parents. School-age children have a small 3 to 1 class ratio, and instruction includes an introduction to water immersion and floating on the back from the start, progressing from a roll over technique into freestyle and backstroke, and then into breaststroke and butterfly once earlier skills are mastered. Children can also learn techniques to prepare them for a swim team. Bubbles Swim School states that it has been teaching for over 50 years and that swimming is the one sport that has the potential to one day save a child's life.
