Dance Wilder

Dance Wilder offers Creative Movement for Crawlers, Caretaker & Me Toddler Dance, Creative Dance for Preschoolers, Creative Dance for ages 5 - 8, Modern Expressive Dance for ages 9 - 13, and Modern Expressive Dance for 12 Years and Up. The listed activities include exploration of movement, free dance periods, stretching and strengthening, learning choreography, and a recital or mini-recital after set sessions.

Programs

• Creative Movement for Crawlers — Crawling to 18 months · Tuesdays, 9:15-10:00am · $7–$8 per class · Classes are held on an "as needed" basis. Mini-recital after two 6 week sessions or every 14 weeks or so.
• Caretaker & Me Toddler Dance — 18 to 30 months · Tuesdays, 10:15-11:00am · $10–$12 per class · Mini-recital after two 6 week sessions; family and friends are invited. Always check the calendar before dropping in.
• Creative Dance for Preschoolers — Tuesdays, 11:00-11:45am · $10–$12 per class · A simple choreography is taught over two six week sessions and showcased in a recital at the end of 13 weeks. Family and friends are invited.
• Creative Dance for ages 5 - 8 — 5 - 8 years · Creative Dance class.
• Modern Expressive Dance for ages 9 - 13 — 9 - 13 years · Modern / Contemporary / Lyrical themes; free dance periods; stretching and strengthening; learning choreography.
• Modern Expressive Dance for 12 Years and Up! — 12 years and up · Coming soon; classes (hopefully) coming in the Fall of 2027.

About the provider

Dance Wilder says that children learn basic dance skills in a gender neutral, free spirited, and safe environment. The mission statement says classes focus on exploration of movement, improving rhythm and coordination, and allowing self expression through the art of dance while having lots of fun. Family and friends are invited to watch the performance at mini-recitals and recitals.

Always check the Dance Wilder Calendar page before dropping in. There are session breaks every 7 weeks and occasionally class is canceled due to illness. Donations are appreciated but not expected.
