Founded in 1944, Campbell Hall is a K–12 independent, Episcopal, gender-inclusive day school, and all summer programs are available to the public. The school states that at the core of a Campbell Hall education is the belief that pursuing academic excellence flourishes most alongside an equal commitment to nurturing loving, responsible, and healthy children. Campbell Hall reports that most of the faculty hold advanced degrees in education and/or their subject discipline, with an average of 17 years of teaching experience per faculty member, and notes an average secondary class size of 16, an average elementary class size of 24, and a faculty to student ratio of 1:9. The school reports that 22% of students receive financial aid and that 50% of students in K–12 are students of color, and that it admits students of any race, color, gender, sexual orientation, national, and ethnic origin and does not discriminate on these bases in administration of its programs. Campbell Hall describes itself as an urban oasis with a 15-acre campus and notes that there will be fewer sessions and smaller group sizes for Summer 2026 due to construction on the new Holiday Center, and that lunch ordering information will be available in late May.
Campbell Hall reports active engagement with the community at large through public partnership and service learning programs, including the Campbell Scholars Program. Memberships and affiliations include NAIS, ABC, AVID, CAIS, CASE, CLS, Common Sense, Council for Women in Independent Schools, CSEE, CSF, ERB, GSA, ICG, Independent School Innovation Consortium, ISA, Los Angeles Diocesan Commission on Schools, NACAC, NAES, NAEYC, NAPSG, OSG, PSV, SoCal POCIS, The College Board, and WASC.
