America’s Best Karate (ABK)

America’s Best Karate (ABK) offers martial arts and karate classes where students practice karate skills in a structured class setting. The program includes age-based karate classes that are described as fun and engaging, and students can participate in activities that let them feel like real ninjas.

• Ages: 4–18 years old

America’s Best Karate (ABK) offers a Little Ninjas program for ages 4–6, a Kids program for ages 7–13, and an Adults program for ages 14 and up. The program states that it serves kids, teens, and adults and offers a family-friendly schedule and class times. The school describes its community as supportive and active and notes that students can build social skills, make new friends, improve social and leadership skills, and learn healthy habits for life. A free class is available as part of getting started.

The program’s mission statement says that ABK Sunnyvale helps kids, teens, and adults transform through martial arts. The school notes that it serves families in Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Los Altos, and Santa Clara.

One parent, Megan R., shared that her 8-year-old and 4-year-old started at ABK and that over six months she saw them learn about balance, control, strength, focus, and the fundamentals of karate, and that her children looked forward to their lessons and enjoyed the instructors. Another parent, John M., stated that he and his son have been attending for over a year and described the staff as great and attentive with the kids and said they create a welcoming learning environment.
