About

Footprints Early Education Center offers many hands-on, age-appropriate, and playful activities each day, including guided activities, exploration, creative discovery, stories, and reflection. Children take part in daily lessons and activities in Chinese and English, with daily learning activities designed around weekly theme books presented in both languages. The program uses a bilingual, play-based, immersion approach with Chinese/English Parallel Teaching and a curriculum inspired by Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences that supports Linguistic, Musical, Logical-Mathematical, Interpersonal, Bodily-Kinesthetic, Intrapersonal, Spatial-Visual, and Naturalist intelligences, with a focus on character education and virtues such as kindness, responsibility, humility, self-control, and giving, and an emphasis on social and emotional growth.

• Ages: 2–5 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday, 8:30am–6pm

Footprints Early Education Center provides high-quality bilingual education in Chinese and English to families in Sunnyvale, using a play-based, immersion approach with parallel teaching in a licensed child care and preschool program that serves children ages 2 to 5 in a warm, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment. The program includes a kindergarten readiness program and a low child-to-teacher ratio and serves families living or working in Sunnyvale, Cupertino, West San Jose, and Santa Clara.

One parent from the Tao family described Footprints as a place where their son grew and flourished over two years and mentioned the patience and kindness of the teachers and the safe and inclusive environment, sharing that their family would miss the community at Footprints. Another parent, Judy C., shared that her child has been with Footprints for almost 2.5 years and described seeing her child grow from a sensitive toddler to a 4-year-old with bilingual abilities and a caring heart, noting that the school has good course materials, guides children to learn through play, takes emotional development seriously, and encourages children to speak their minds, and that she is very satisfied with her child’s emotional development. The Wong family shared that their son attended Footprints Early Education Center for more than three years, growing from a toddler to a confident kindergartner with the guidance of caring and loving teachers, and described smooth transitions between levels, a kindergarten readiness program that supported him in becoming a confident reader with a strong foundation when starting kindergarten, and appreciation for the teachers’ hard work in a caring environment.
