Step Up Tutoring offers free online tutoring and mentorship in math or reading for 2nd–6th grade students. Students meet one-on-one with a consistent tutor for 45-minute sessions twice a week and need a tablet or computer, internet access, and a quiet space.

About the provider
Step Up Tutoring was founded in 2020. It supports more than 8,300 2nd–6th grade students from underserved communities by partnering with over 40 districts and charter networks across Los Angeles, the Bay Area, New York City, DC, and Arizona.
There is no cost to participate. Students are paired with a consistent tutor. Ongoing support is provided by the Step Up team.
