Tulip Kids After School Program includes homework support along with a range of STEAM activities such as coding, robotics, science projects, interactive experiments, and engineering challenges. Children participate in enrichment activities including advanced math concepts, hands-on science experiments, literature appreciation, creative writing workshops, drawing, painting, craft workshops, dance, drama, music activities, cultural events, and collaborative art and design projects. Tulip Kids After School Program is part of Tulip Kids Academy, whose mission statement is “Nurturing young minds for a brighter tomorrow.” The program is led by co-founders Deepti Mohta and Sneha Vedula. Staff include qualified educators and mentors, as well as certified teachers with years of experience in early childhood education. Tulip Kids Academy opened in 2013 and has 15+ years of experience, with 8+ centers and state-of-the-art preschool and after-school centers across the San Francisco Bay Area, including multiple convenient locations and well-equipped classrooms and outdoor spaces designed for learning and play. In 2008, co-founder Deepti Mohta received an award from the Mayor of the City of Sunnyvale for expertise, sound business practices, and a proven track record of outstanding local contributions in the field of child care and development, and she is currently a nominee for the Presidential Citizen Medal. The organization maintains partnerships with Choices for Children, Go Kids, and CalWorks to support families, and co-founder Sneha Vedula is actively involved in several non-profit organizations in the Bay Area, as is co-founder Deepti Mohta, both of whom initiate fundraising activities.
