About
Wild Roots Holistic Learning Center Summer Camp includes activities where children can explore adventure, play with animals and instruments, cook, garden, do yoga, and learn about different cultures. Camp days also include collaborative projects, artistic exploration, guided inquiry, and chances for children to prepare their own snacks as part of the summer camps program.

Wild Roots Holistic Learning Center is a holistic, Montessori- and Reggio Emilia–inspired preschool educating children from ages 6 weeks to 6 years, with device-free classrooms and indoor/outdoor spaces that include wooded jungle gyms and gardens. The program uses mixed-age classrooms for ages 2.5–6, offers infant care, preschool, pre-K and kindergarten programs, and includes an art studio referred to as The Atelier, along with parent education, volunteer opportunities, and family events. Its stated mission is: “At Wild Roots, Childhood is Nurtured, Not Rushed. We empower children at our school through an emphasis on natural discovery, freedom and creative play.”
The leadership team includes Center Director Lidia Najera and Program Director Margarita Juarez. Lidia has been teaching at Wild Roots since it opened in 2012, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Education from Cal State San Marcos, and has a Montessori Assistant Teaching Certificate from the Montessori Institute of San Diego (MISD). Margarita has been teaching for 21 years and is Montessori trained from The Montessori Institute in Denver, Colorado for children 0–3 years, and from the Seton Montessori Institute in Chicago, Illinois for children 3–6 years. Keleigh has been working in Early Childhood Education for more than 18 years, holds an Associate of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education, and had eight years of experience teaching in a center based on the Reggio Emilia philosophy before joining Wild Roots. Katrina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Grand Canyon University, an Associate Degree in Child and Adolescent Development, and an Associate Degree with Transfer in Early Childhood Education from Mt. San Jacinto College, is pursuing a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a planned graduation in November 2022, and has six years of experience in the educational field with familiarity in Reggio Emilia, Thematic, Montessori, Emergent, and Waldorf teaching styles.
For over 10 years, families at the Temecula campus have chosen Wild Roots Holistic Learning Center for its intentional, natural approach to early childhood education.
