PopRock Academy offers classes in acting, creative writing, drums, guitar, hip hop dancing, piano, voice and singing, and voice over. The program also includes dance styles such as hip hop, jazz, K-pop, and break dance, as well as musical theater that combines dancing with singing and acting, and movement training for younger students. PopRock Academy provides both group classes and private instruction in multiple dance styles.

PopRock Academy has been providing professional acting, dance, music, and writing classes since 2011 and describes itself as San Gabriel Valley’s premiere performing arts academy. The dance program starts as young as 3 years old with movement training to begin coordination training. All teachers are both university trained and working artists. Students have the opportunity to participate in annual recitals in the late spring and at the end of the year on a professional stage. The program offers a free first class in acting, dance, music, and writing, with restrictions that are handled through the front office. PopRock Academy was founded on November 11, 2011, by Paul Kwo in the city of Alhambra. Its mission is to help kids, teens, and adults overcome nervousness, gain confidence, and achieve their dreams. PopRock Academy serves residents from multiple nearby cities in the greater Los Angeles area and takes part in community outreach by assisting talented music students in financial need and participating in local school and community events.
