Shaolin Kung Fu & Qigong Programs are part of the Shaolin Temple Cultural Center U.S.A., which was founded by Master Shi Yanxu. The instructors (Shīfu) are from the Shaolin Temple on Song Shan Mountain in China, and the teachings follow an authentic Shaolin Kung Fu and Qigong lineage under the guidance and authorization of the Shaolin tradition. The center states that it is rooted in over 1,500 years of Shaolin tradition and that its mission is to preserve authentic Shaolin tradition while helping modern people cultivate health, discipline, and inner balance by training the body, calming the mind, and supporting lifelong well-being for children, adults, and seniors. One parent described the school as teaching authentic Shaolin Kung Fu with instructors “straight from the Shaolin Temple, Song Shan Mountain, China” and shared that they had been learning there for more than nine years. Another person described the Los Angeles location as a small, tight-knit community where students can learn deep-rooted kung fu techniques while getting a strong workout. A third person noted that the teaching emphasis is on traditional Kung Fu and Chan Meditation and recommended it for anyone who wants to learn traditional Kung Fu.
