Temple City Early Learning Academy

Temple City Early Learning Academy uses The Creative Curriculum® to support learning in social-emotional skills, cognitive development, math, science, reading readiness, and creative art. The program offers a structured approach in a developmentally appropriate, safe, and supportive setting where a diverse group of children can play, learn, and explore together. The program is part of the Temple City Unified School District’s expanded early childhood education offerings.

The mission of Temple City Early Learning Academy is to offer a structured program that supports children’s development in a nurturing environment, with an emphasis on learning through play. The preschool’s use of The Creative Curriculum®, a research-based curriculum that focuses on the whole child, reflects a commitment to excellence, equity, and the holistic development of students.

The Education Director, Mickie Wong, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development with a specialization in Early Childhood Education from California State University, Fullerton, and a Master’s in Education with a focus on Administration and Leadership in Early Childhood Education from Brandman University. She has over a decade of experience in early childhood education and has worked with children from infancy through high school.
