Beach Cities Volleyball offers a youth indoor volleyball summer camp with week long sessions that include games and scrimmages. The program also runs a High Impact 3-day Clinic that includes training, competition and lifestyle, along with video recording and team or individual analysis through statistics in practice and games. Staff support includes contacting college coaches and getting players signed up for showcases and travel opportunities.

Beach Cities Volleyball has been serving the South Bay since 2000 and is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) California Corporation. The Mission Statement of Beach Cities Volleyball is to “Teach life skills and volleyball skills from 8 to 18,” with priorities to have fun, teach volleyball skills, and act as positive role model. Beach Cities Volleyball builds beginning, intermediate and advanced teams at every age level and does not solely focus on its top or strongest teams, but works to focus on every player and highlight every team in the club. Beach Cities Volleyball athletes and coaching staff cross community, income level and ethnic lines. Beach Cities Volleyball aspires to embody the soul of volleyball: a place where training, competition and lifestyle are equal and integrated organically. Beach Cities Volleyball is diligent in its efforts to train players on its Smack teams to be able to compete at the collegiate level.

Head coaches have years of experience and resumes that include former professional players and college players, current college coaches, high school coaches, CIF Champion Coaches, and CIF Coach of the Year Award Winners. The leadership team includes Chip Schulte, Founder & President of Beach Cities Volleyball since 2000, and records note that Tony Mayrie, Don Shaw and Chip Schulte started things at tryouts in October 1999. Coaching at Beach Cities Volleyball is described as a passion, and the program states that it cares about the whole player, including mental, physical, and emotional growth.

The youth indoor volleyball summer camp is for 8–18 year olds who are either a beginner or at an intermediate level. The program focuses on fundamental skills like passing, setting, hitting, serving, and digging, and uses game play to apply learned skills and develop teamwork. Players are grouped based on skill level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) for personalized instruction and a challenging yet supportive learning experience. The High Impact 3-day Clinic is for driven athletes looking to elevate their performance through focused, advanced training, with emphasis on skill refinement, competitive play, and professional-level coaching. The clinic includes elite skill refinement, mental preparation and strategy, college-level coaching staff, tryout stimulation, and position-specific development, and states that athletes build confidence through high-intensity training and structured development, and prepare to perform at their best during upcoming tryouts and competitive opportunities.

Beach Cities Volleyball reports that it has experienced and passionate coaches catering to all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. The organization has been recognized with several awards, including 2025 Best Kids Camp; Voted Best of the Beach Youth Sports Organization 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022; and Voted Best of the Westside Youth Sports Organization 2024, 2023, 2021, 2019, 2018.
