About

Beach Cities Volleyball – Future Stars Program is a beginner level volleyball program that includes skills clinics, the Future Stars Program, Future Stars Camps & Clinics, a Spring Break Clinic, and Summer Camps & Clinics. The program focuses on teaching and developing each athlete’s volleyball fundamentals, with an emphasis on skill development and how these skills contribute to playing volleyball well. Moderate physical conditioning, especially related to body core strengthening, is included, and periodic competitions are held using teams made up of players from within the group.

• Ages: 8–18 years old
• Schedule: Six-week sessions that meet one or two days per week, with additional clinic options including a three-day Spring Break Clinic and a five-day Spring Break Clinic, and daily clinic sessions from 9–11 AM

The Future Stars Program is for boys and girls and offers six-week sessions that meet one day per week at the Palos Verdes location and 1–2 days per week at the Torrance location. Advanced programming is available at the Torrance location for players who have some volleyball experience and are looking to improve their skills. The program emphasizes the importance of working within a team structure and the development and habitual use of effective volleyball skills in competitive situations. Beach Cities Volleyball does not have a “win at all cost” philosophy, builds beginning, intermediate, and advanced teams at every age level, and does not solely focus on its top or strongest teams but works to focus on every player and highlight every team in the club.

Beach Cities Volleyball has been serving the South Bay since 2000 under the leadership of Chip Schulte, Founder & President of Beach Cities Volleyball since 2000. The mission statement of Beach Cities Volleyball is to “Teach life skills and volleyball skills from 8 to 18,” with priorities to have fun, teach volleyball skills, and act as positive role models. Beach Cities Volleyball athletes and coaching staff cross community, income level, and ethnic lines.
