Samurai Karate For Kids

Samurai Karate For Kids offers pre-school classes for ages 3.5-5, where kids learn social skills through basic karate movements and discipline, including "rules and thank you!" For ages 6-9, the program teaches karate techniques and kata, along with respect, focus, and independence, and belt test and sparring starts. For ages 10-15, the program teaches advanced karate techniques and kata, and advanced belt test and sparring starts.

Programs

• Pre-school — 3.5-5 yrs · Kids learn social skills through basic karate movements and discipline. They will learn 'rules and thank you!'
• Kinder & school Karate — 6-9 yrs · Karate techniques and forms called Kata are taught. Kids also learn respect, focus and independence. Belt test and sparring starts.
• Young kids Karate — 10-15 yrs · Advanced karate techniques and Kata are taught. Advanced belt test and sparring starts.
• Private lesson — $125 per session · Your child will learn specific skills leading up to advanced techniques such as basic techniques, kata and sparring.

• General schedule: Tuesday: 5:30-6:25pm (Studio 2, 5-12 yrs old, Basic-intermediate); 6:30-7:25pm (Studio 1, 5-9 yrs old, Gym class). Wednesday: 4:30-5:25pm (Studio 2, 3-6 yrs old, Basic-intermediate); 5:30-6:25pm (Studio 2, 6 yrs old up, Basic-intermediate). Friday: 5:30-6:25pm (Studio 2, 3-6 yrs old, Basic-intermediate); 6:30-7:25pm (Studio 2, 7 yrs old up, Advanced). Saturday: 9:30-10:25am (3-6 yrs old, Basic); 10:30-11:25am (6-12 yrs old, Basic, intermediate). Thursday: Jpn School.

Samurai Karate For Kids is based on Japanese martial arts in Torrance, South Bay, and Los Angeles for 18 years. Its mission is to build up a strong body as well as a flexible mind through karate training, kata, and sparring.
