Wrecking Yard Baseball offers batting cage rentals, baseball lessons, softball lessons, team sign-ups, memberships, Youth Travel Baseball for 12u–14u, Winter Break Camps, a middle school and high school hitting clinic, and Fall Tryouts. The program operates as a premier baseball and softball facility and uses professional baseball instructors who can teach all aspects of the game. Wrecking Yard gives local student-athletes a place to hone their skills along with knowledgeable instructors who are equipped to work with all ages and skill levels.
• Schedule: Hours of operation are Monday–Friday from 12pm–9pm and Saturday–Sunday from 10am–4pm, with appointments required prior to 3pm.
Wrecking Yard Baseball’s leadership team includes Charles Boyden, Mason Morioka, Nick Green, Nolan Brown, and Taylor Felipe. The staff has personal and professional experience that provides them with a good understanding of what college recruiters are looking for down the road. The program’s mission states that it will build team comradery and lead by example, focus on quality practice reps, attention to detail, and challenges against quality opponents to help players prepare for the next level, and test players’ mental and physical abilities while teaching what next level coaches expect of them (baseball IQ). The mission also states that expectations for players include showing up early, always hustling, giving their best effort, practicing with intensity and purpose, playing the game hard, and being held accountable as individuals, with an emphasis on a good education, next level expectations, doing the little things, and love of the game. Wrecking Yard Baseball has received the 2023 Best of Torrance Award, the 2023 Best of Torrance Crystal Award, and two 2022 Best of Torrance Crystal Awards.
