American Top Team Traditions states that it prides itself in building character and teaching the work ethic necessary to succeed in whatever endeavor students decide to pursue, and describes membership as being like a part of a family where student success is shared. The mission statement explains that martial arts is used to improve lives, including for a child being bullied, for an adult lacking passion and drive, and for a person who wants the ability to protect themselves and their loved ones. The mission statement also says that the staff will be with students every step of the way, will guide and assist them in every way they can, and that the organization believes in what it is doing and wants families to be a part of it.

The program notes that it serves the areas of Tracy, Mountain House, and Manteca. Testimonials from parents and students describe knowledgeable and patient teachers, professional instructors and staff, a clean facility, and a welcoming environment, and mention that instructors know each child by name and use a balanced approach of strictness and humor. One parent reports that two daughters who started at the dojo at age 9 are now second degree black belts and describes the owners as an amazing family. Another testimonial states that when someone becomes a team member, they become family, and that the place is full of support and people encouraging each person’s best.
