The Winter/Spring 2026 Tennis Program runs January 5 to May 20, with a Basics (Beginner/Intermediate) group meeting Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00–5:30pm in a 40-class session, and a Competition (Intermediate/Advanced) group meeting Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30–7:00pm in a 40-class session. The Summer 2026 Tennis Program runs June 1 to July 31, with Beginner/Advanced Beginner options Monday–Friday 9:30–11:00am as a day camp and Monday–Friday 9:30am–12:30pm, and an Intermediate/Advanced/Invitational group Monday–Friday 11:00am–2:00pm. Adult Wednesday Tennis Clinics include a Fall 2025 session from August 20 to December 17 on Wednesday nights 7:00–8:30pm followed by 8:30–9:30pm free play in a 17-class session, a Winter/Spring 2026 session from January 7 to May 20 on Wednesday nights 7:00–8:30am with 8:30–9:30pm free play in a 20-class session, and a Summer 2026 session from June 3 to July 29 on Wednesday nights 6:00–7:30pm in an 8-class session. Ladies Friday Tennis Clinics include a Winter/Spring 2026 session from January 9 to May 22 on Friday mornings 10:00–11:30am with 11:30am–12:00pm free play in a 19-class session, and a Summer 2026 session from June 5 to July 31 on Friday mornings 8:00–9:30am in an 8-class session.
The program is led by Director of Tennis Tim Pawsat, whose junior tennis career included 11 national championships and a CIF individual singles championship at Foothill High School, followed by a full tennis scholarship to USC, where he was a four-time All American and NCAA doubles champion. His professional career on the ATP tour lasted six years, during which he reached 18th in the world in doubles, top 200 in singles, competed in all four Grand Slam tournaments, and won five ATP doubles titles including the LA Open, and his coaching career in Orange County began in 1993. The leadership team also includes Director of Pickleball Chico Bonner; tennis pros Nicole Fouts and Chris Cyga; pickleball pros Jim Zisk and Julie Shapiro; and swim coach Miss Teela. According to the mission statement, North Tustin Tennis was started to create a group program for all levels of play, with goals that include teaching beginners good fundamentals, providing an environment in which they can improve, compete, and enjoy tennis, and preparing players for tournament and high school tennis, and the program has been operating for 7 years and has developed hundreds of tennis players at all levels.
Tustin Hills Racquet Club was established in 1958 and is described as the oldest and most prestigious private tennis club in Orange County. The club features eight championship tennis courts, twelve pickleball courts, a gym, and a pool, and it hosts USTA events as well as weddings and banquets in the remodeled Legacy Ballroom. The venue has been noted in testimonials as having an indoor ballroom, space for an outdoor wedding ceremony just outside the ballroom, included tables and chairs, a bridal room, an outside area for guests to take a break, and plenty of room for a photo booth rental, and it allows outside vendors. The club received “Best of Orange County 2024: Best pickleball court.”
