About

Vacaville Police Activities League brings youth together with Vacaville Police Department staff for activities such as field trips and the Teen Leadership Council. Participants also take part in community projects like the City of Vacaville Neighborhood Clean-up, which can include cleaning up yard waste, laying rock and bark, mending fences, and painting.

• Ages: 7–18 years old

The program is based on the conviction that if young people are reached early enough, they can develop strong positive attitudes towards police officers in their journey through life toward the goal of maturity and good citizenship. As part of the COV Connect program, volunteers, neighbors, and City staff work together in local neighborhoods on tasks such as cleaning up yard waste, laying rock and bark, mending fences, and painting. The program expands public awareness about the role of a police officer and the reinforcement of responsible values and attitudes. Vacaville PAL also has a monthly newsletter that provides updates about upcoming events and meeting schedules.
