Ignite ATA Martial Arts opened in 2006 under owner and founder Kerry Regano. The program states that it strives to create confident martial artists who become leaders in and out of the studio, prevent bullying, build leaders, and promote healthy habits in Ventura County. It states that it works to build strong, confident leaders one black belt at a time, and that students learn to defend themselves both physically and mentally. The program offers a free trial, a free introductory class by phone scheduling, and an exclusive web offer, and notes that ATA Tigers uses cartoon tiger characters that each symbolize a value that is a foundation of the martial arts.

The program describes itself as family oriented, with students in all shapes and sizes and families training together, and notes that parents training with their children can create a special bond. It states that many students learn life skills such as discipline and respect and then use these skills in their education, that many martial arts students end up at prestigious universities thanks to focus and discipline developed in training, and that many students become inspired to train as instructors, with leadership skills that translate directly into communication skills. It also states that from teens to adults, it is never too late to begin a martial arts journey and that Teen & Adult Martial Arts classes are a way to release stress from work or school.

Testimonials describe instructors as nice, caring, positive, energetic, and well trained for all ages, and refer to the studio as a second home and a family. Parents and students report great memories, a sense of pride when learning martial arts, and say the staff is amazing and really cares about students. One parent credits the studio and specific instructors with boosting a child’s confidence and notes how leaders talk to kids about being different from others. Multiple testimonials highly recommend Ignite ATA Martial Arts and describe it as the best martial arts school in Ventura and the best option for family oriented martial arts that empower good character and self-discipline.
