Ohana Surf Camp offers private surf lessons in Ventura for kids, teens, adults, and families. The private lessons are 90 minutes, are one-on-one, and include a surfboard and wetsuit. It also offers group surf lessons in Ventura for families, small groups, or couples; these lessons are 2 hours, have a minimum of 2 surfers, and include a surfboard and wetsuit. The camp offers Fall Surf Camp 2026 for ages 5–14, with beginners welcome, and Summer Surf Camp for ages 5–14 at Marina Park and ages 8–15 at Mondo's Beach.
Programs
- Private Surf Lessons in Ventura — kids, teens, adults, and families; for all ages · $135 per session · 90 minutes. One-on-one surfing experience. Surfboard and wetsuit included.
- Group Surf Lessons in Ventura — children ages six and under require private, one-on-one instruction and cannot participate in group lessons · $95 per session · 2 hours. Minimum 2 surfers. For families, small groups, or couples. Surfboard and wetsuit included.
- Fall Surf Camp 2026 — 5-14 · October 26–30, 2026, 9 AM–3 PM. Beginners are welcome. Held at Marina Park Beach in Ventura.
- Summer Surf Camp — Ages 5–14 at Marina Park; ages 8–15 at Mondo's Beach · Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM · Wetsuits and surfboards included. Small groups. Water ratio 1:5.

About the provider
Rodrigo Cardenas has managed various summer camps for the past two decades. All instructors are certified in CPR and first aid. Ohana Surf Camp says it aims to inspire the next generation to become stewards of the ocean while learning and reinforcing ocean safety, and to educate children and adults about ocean safety and help them develop a love for the ocean one wave at a time.
Ages six and under require private, one-on-one instruction and cannot participate in group lessons. Lessons booked with less than 48 hours notice cannot be guaranteed. Surf camp cancelation policy: 10 or more days before the first day of camp = full refund minus a $25 service fee; 9 to 1 days before = 50% refund; on or after the first day = no refund; no-shows = no refund. Campers begin each week with a short swim assessment. If the ocean is not cooperating, the day is supplemented with beach games and smaller groups in the water if safe enough.
