Dancers Edge

Dancers Edge offers Baby Tots, Tiny Tots, and Tots N Tutus for younger dancers, along with Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Pom 101, Broadway Babies, and Production. The classes include music, props, crafts, creative movement, barre work, across-the-floor work, foundation grooves, body isolations, traditional technique, rhythmic footwork, and vocal and choreography work.

Programs

• Baby Tots — Ages 2-3 years; must be 2 by September 1 · Designed for 2-3 year old dancers to enhance gross motor coordination and listening skills through music, props, crafts, and dance.
• Tiny Tots — Ages 3-4 years; must be 3 by September 1 · Creative movement class for 3-4 year old dancers designed to enhance gross motor development, listening skills, musicality, and nurture the creative spirit.
• Tots N Tutus — Ages 4-5 years; must be 4 by September 1 · Introduces the 4-5 year old dancer to the beginning skills of ballet and jazz through creative movement, barre work and across the floor work.
• Hip Hop — Ages 5 and up · Focuses on foundational grooves, body isolations, and the rich sub-styles of the culture. Dancers master fresh choreography while building athleticism and performance skills.
• Ballet — Ages 5 and up · Focuses on the Cecchetti method. Dancers master traditional technique through precise alignment, fluid movement, and academic artistry.
• Jazz — Ages 5 and up · Focuses on traditional technique, sharp isolations, and rhythmic footwork. Dancers master explosive leaps, turns, and stylized choreography while exploring classic and commercial jazz styles.
• Lyrical — Ages 6 and up; must take Ballet to enroll in Lyrical
• Tap — Ages 5 and up · Focuses on rhythmic footwork, precise timing, and the clarity of sound. Dancers master classical and rhythm tap techniques while building complex coordination, musicality, and athletic foot speed.
• Pom 101 — Ages 8-12 · Blends the sharp, precise arm movements of cheerleading with foundational jazz techniques. Dancers focus on synchronization, athletic jumps, and visual formations while mastering clean pom placement.
• Broadway Babies — Ages 5-6
• Production — Ages 7 and up; both Vocal and Choreography classes required

About the provider

Dancers Edge was founded in 1996 and is in its 31st season. Its mission is to make dance a rewarding, fulfilling, and fun experience designed to meet the needs of any student. The studio is home to the nationally recognized DE Dance Company, an award-winning competition team of dancers ages 5 to 18 with numerous national titles and choreography awards across California and the West Coast. Students can also take part in the Annual Musical Production, Summer Mini Musical, Edge Music Showcase, and the T3 (Triple Threats) performing arts team, which performs at community events and ends the season at the Disneyland Resort.

Every class is taught with age-appropriate material by qualified instructors. Must be 2 by September 1 for Baby Tots and must be 3 by September 1 for Tiny Tots. Lyrical requires Ballet. Production requires both Vocal and Choreography classes.
