Arts Visalia Youth Art Classes and Young at Art Summer Program offers art classes, workshops, and a summer art program called Young at Art. Participants can also take part in exhibitions, Opening Receptions, cultural events, and an Art on Fire Walking Tour. The program connects with the gallery’s diverse monthly exhibitions through activities such as guided tours with detailed descriptions of the artwork, virtual tours, artist talks, bus tours, and school field trips.

Arts Visalia’s mission is to “Develop and promote the visual arts to enhance the quality of life in our community.” The organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community arts center whose gallery features diverse monthly exhibitions of regionally, nationally and internationally recognized artists, and The Marketplace offers artisanal locally made and designed gifts. The Young at Art summer program includes week-long courses throughout June and July and culminates in an exhibition of masterpieces during the month of August. Scholarship programs for kids are funded through grants, community partnerships, special requests, donations, and scholarship donations, and these scholarships support dozens of youths each year. Arts Visalia has an equity goal to establish a safe place in which everyone in the community can take part in the visual arts experience and is committed to racial equity in its work environment, art classes, exhibits, and special programs, with ongoing evaluation of how policies affect access for all populations. Staff and the administrative team received training from IBCCES to reach out to visitors with autism, and guided tours are offered for individuals with visual impairment that provide detailed descriptions of the artwork. Arts Visalia is the winner of the 2025 Tulare Kings Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Small Non-Profit of the Year, and support from the Hispanic Chamber has helped the organization reach diverse sectors of the community.
