Bronco Baseball Academy was established in 2001 and has served thousands of young players in Walnut Creek, CA and the East Bay. Camp divisions are organized by age and sport as follows: 5–6 years old = ROOKIES; 7 years old = PONIES; 7–8 years old = COLTS; 8–9 years old = STALLIONS; 9–10 years old = MUSTANGS; 10–12 years old = BRONCOS. The program includes positional training at infield, outfield, catching, and pitching, a high coach to camper ratio, individualized instruction for every camper, multiple games and competitive drills every day, daily Baseball and Softball Trivia, and daily character development themes such as TEAMMATE TUESDAY, WACKY WEDNESDAY, and WORLD SERIES FRIDAY.

Bronco Softball within the program provides sport-specific instruction for softball players of all skill levels between 5–12 years old and creates teams of all girls of the same or similar age coached by experienced softball head and assistant coaches. BashBall is described by the program as a fast-paced, action-packed, competitive game that emphasizes hitting and fielding, and Bronco Ball is described as a Bronco Baseball Academy camp favorite since 2001. The Joe Dawson Memorial Scholarship fund was created in memory of Joe Dawson, a longtime supporter of the Northgate community, youth baseball, and local families in need, and scholarship recipients receive one week of Bronco Baseball Academy at no charge along with all necessary equipment for camp and their summer baseball needs.

Bronco Baseball Academy is directed by Ben Campopiano, Principal at Miramonte High School in Orinda, who previously served as Principal at Pine Hollow Middle School in Concord from 2018 to 2021. Before becoming a principal, he was a Vice Principal, Social Studies teacher, Common Core Instructional Coach, and baseball coach at Northgate High School in Walnut Creek, and he served as the Director of Baseball Operations at Santa Clara University from 2011–2015. The leadership team also includes Kevin Sullivan as Site Director and Alec Read-Skyhawk as Assistant Director. The program’s stated mission is that every camper can improve their skills, have fun with friends, and increase their love of the game in a fun, safe, and challenging environment, and its philosophy is that every player can play high school baseball or softball or beyond with the right attitude, right coaching, and right practice.
