All campers must be potty-trained and able to use the restroom independently, and families may register for either a morning or afternoon half-day camp, but not both in the same day. Three- and four-year-olds are not eligible for full-day camps. A special cancellation policy applies to Summer Camps, requiring cancellation requests at least 30 days before the start of the reserved week, with a $50 processing fee per camp and no cancellations or transfers accepted fewer than 30 days before the start date.

The Encore program first opened in 1983 under the leadership of Gay Gerlack, and its staff training program has evolved over more than 40 years in the gymnastics business. The camp’s staff members complete a comprehensive training program, and the organization states that its mission is to build students from the inside out by focusing on confidence, determination, motivation, and goal-setting skills through encouragement, positive reinforcement, fun, and personal connection.

Parent feedback about Encore includes comments that gymnastics has taught one child listening, following directions, and waiting turns, and that one family has participated for nine years and plans to enroll a third child. Other parents describe the instructors as exceptional with kids and note their positive attitude and energy, and one parent shares that this is one of their son’s favorite weekly activities.
