About
EncoreGym Summer Camp offers gymnastics along with time on trampolines, a foam pit, and a bounce house. Campers also take part in crafts and group games, and campers ages 5 and older have access to a climbing wall.
• Ages: 3–11 years old
• Schedule: Week-long camps for Weeks 1–7 and a 3-day camp for Week 8, with half-day options from 9am–12pm or 12:30–3:30pm and a full-day option from 9am–3:30pm
• Price: Ages 3–4 half-day $485 per camper per week; ages 5–11 half-day $485 and full-day $685 per camper per week; Week 8 (Aug 3–5) half-day $295 and full-day $415; a $50 processing fee applies to each cancelled Summer Camp registration
EncoreGym Summer Camp runs on the following weeks: Week 1 June 8–12, Week 2 June 15–19, Week 3 June 22–26, Week 4 July 6–10, Week 5 July 13–17, Week 6 July 20–24, Week 7 July 27–31, and Week 8 August 3–5. All campers must be potty-trained and able to use the restroom independently, and families may register for either a morning or afternoon half-day camp, but not both in the same day. Three- and four-year-olds are not eligible for full-day camps.
EncoreGym Summer Camp states that it is a fun, dynamic program designed to introduce children to the basics of gymnastics while emphasizing play, character building, and personal growth, and that its approach is to build characteristics such as confidence, determination, motivation, and goal-setting skills through encouragement, positive reinforcement, fun, and personal connection. Every staff member goes through a comprehensive training program that has evolved over more than 40 years in the gymnastics business, and Gay Gerlack first opened the doors in 1983.
Parent feedback about the program includes comments that gymnastics has taught one child listening, following directions, and waiting turns, that one family has participated for 9 years and plans to enroll a third child, that instructors are described as exceptional with kids and handling emotions, and that one parent reports it is one of their son’s favorite weekly activities.
