The school states that it is more than simply kicking and punching and that it strives toward strong work ethics and discipline while making training fun and challenging. The mission includes developing positive habits at an early stage and using this to build a solid martial arts and self defense foundation for students young and old. The Taekwondo Trial Program has an explicitly outlined purpose for parents, including allowing families to experience classes before commitment, assess interest and suitability, receive an introduction to skills and discipline, and build confidence and comfort, followed by a personalized assessment to tailor a training plan.

A parent testimonial describes starting Taekwondo six years earlier and training with several different Taekwondo masters before working with Master Kim for three years. The parent reports that Master Kim engages students at their level, makes classes fun, and challenges each child in form and practice, and notes that their children looked forward to classes, including a four-year-old daughter who also enrolled. The testimonial states that the children competed in two local tournaments in the USA and in Korea, where one child received a gold and silver medal and another received two silver medals, and that Master Kim focused on making their forms precise. The parent also notes that Master Kim demonstrates and teaches the five tenets of Taekwondo—courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit—and that their children’s enthusiasm for Taekwondo increased under his instruction.
