Dave DeLong Golf Academy offers individual lessons, semi-private lessons, group lessons, clinics, playing lessons, golf camps, corporate events and outings, and a Junior Golf Camp. The program also offers private lessons in 30-minute and 60-minute formats.

Dave DeLong Golf Academy states that it is dedicated to providing the highest quality golf instruction to players of all skill levels. The leadership team includes Dave DeLong, PGA Professional; Byron Schlagenhauf, golf instructor; and Stephanie Hayes, LPGA Class A instructor. Dave DeLong is a PGA Professional who played golf professionally from 1982 to 1996, began teaching exclusively at Boundary Oak Golf Course in 1994, and transitioned from professional play to teaching in 1996. Dave has taught over 20,000 lessons and, through the Dave DeLong School of Golf programs, has introduced thousands of aspiring golfers to the sport. Group lessons are offered through Walnut Creek Park & Rec.
Dave DeLong’s professional golfing career titles include Pacific Northwest Intercollegiate Champion, US Amateur Championship quarter-finalist, Pacific Northwest Amateur Champion, British Columbia Open Champion, and Windsor Canada Classic Champion. Client accomplishments include Bobby Bucey’s 7 Northern California Golf Association Major Championships, 2023 NCGA Amateur Champion, 2023 NCGA Player of the Year, 2018 USGA Amateur 4 Ball Medalist at Jupiter Hills Club, 2014 NCGA Stroke Play Champion, 2011 Contra Costa Amateur Champion at Boundary Oak, and 2018 California State Amateur Champion. Client accomplishments also include Madelyn Gamble’s membership on the Washington State Women’s Golf Team, Runner Up at the North and South Amateur in Pinehurst, 3rd place finish at the 2023 PAC 12 Championship, and over 80 junior wins, as well as Domenic Mazza’s REMAX World Long Drive Championship Runner Up in 2010, a 436-yard long drive, and a feature in Golf Digest Magazine in 2010.
Byron Schlagenhauf is a TPI Certified golf instructor who uses a data-driven approach with launch monitor technology and video analysis. Stephanie Hayes is an LPGA Class A instructor, U.S. Kids Certified, a First Tee Coach, and holds a Titleist Performance Institute golf fitness certification (TPI Golf 1). The academy focuses on fundamentals that help students create a foundation for a repeatable golf swing.
