Mike Murphy Baseball is a baseball and softball academy where players receive instruction for hitting, pitching, and fielding. The program also offers a structured throwing program, arm care, private instruction, group classes, camps, and clinics. Mike Murphy Baseball operates in a professionally designed baseball and softball performance center and trains players from beginners to professional players while analyzing over 300,000 swings per month from all levels of players.

Mike Murphy Baseball has been training ball players in the Bay Area and serving the East Bay Northern California region since 1998. Mike Murphy retired from professional baseball in 2002 and founded Mike Murphy Baseball, Inc. (MMB). All instructors at Mike Murphy Baseball are hand-picked and certified by Mike Murphy, and the program states that travel teams and coaches may change, but MMB is always available to assist in reaching player goals.

Mike Murphy, founder of Mike Murphy Baseball, Inc., has thirteen years of professional experience with eight different organizations. His professional career included playing for the Philadelphia Phillies, Toronto Blue Jays, Cleveland Indians, Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, Seattle Mariners, Colorado Rockies, and Houston Astros. He played in the Arizona Fall League in 1997, winter ball in Venezuela in 1998, and in Cuba in 1999 in an exhibition game in which the Cuban National Baseball Team hosted the Baltimore Orioles, and he translated when Fidel Castro asked to speak to the Orioles head coach. Mike Murphy graduated from Saint Pius X High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1990, where he played four years of varsity baseball, four years of basketball (two at the varsity level), and four years of varsity football.
As a senior in high school, Mike Murphy earned the title of First Team, High School Baseball All-American sponsored by the Rawlings Organization. In 1994 Blue Jays spring training, he posted an official 60 yard dash time of 6.30 seconds and earned the Blue Jay award of “Fastest Man in Camp.”
