Rancho San Miguel Swim Club – Polar Cubs is an introductory swim program where children take part in swimming, swim lessons, and competitive swimming. The program is part of a fun, family-oriented community recreation pool that also offers a bike outing for children and a 4th of July celebration, along with numerous other events throughout the summer. Participants have access to professional swim lessons for beginning, intermediate, and advanced swimmers through Rasmussen Swimming.
• Ages: 4–6 years old
• Schedule: Season runs from mid-April to October, with general swim offered in hourly blocks that include a 10-minute rest period at the end of each hour
• Price: For a small fee, members can reserve the clubhouse for private parties and functions
Rancho San Miguel Swim Club – Polar Cubs is home to the Polar Cubs swim team, alongside the Polar Bears swim team. The club was established in the Rancho San Miguel Eichler community in 1959 and offers a full summer of recreation and activities for the whole family, including an entertaining Open House in April and a fun-filled adults-only evening social with food and live music. The club’s Board of Directors is made up of club members who focus on keeping the membership experience a value for families. The program’s swim instruction is taught by experienced instructors and coaches through Rasmussen Swimming, and the club employs a very professional staff of lifeguards. The mission of the program includes teaching good sportsmanship and teamwork, along with stroke technique and competitive swimming strategies. The pool will open only if the air temperature is at least 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and lifeguards may consult a board member about closing if weather changes. Members may also reserve a completely renovated clubhouse throughout the year for private parties and functions, including birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs, graduations, and dances.
