Rancho San Miguel Swim Club – Polar Cubs is an introductory swim program connected to the Polar Cubs swim team, where children take part in swim lessons and learn about competitive swimming and swim team activities. The program is part of a club that also offers a full summer of recreation and activities, including a bike outing, a 4th of July celebration, an Open House, and an adults-only evening social with live music. Members connected with the program can also be involved in private parties and functions such as birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs, graduations, and dances.

Rancho San Miguel Swim Club was established in the Rancho San Miguel Eichler community in 1959 and is home to the Polar Bears and Polar Cubs swim teams. The club has two swimming pools, including a large pool with a diving area and a baby pool, and it uses structured rest periods each hour during general swim. The club employs a professional staff of lifeguards, and swim instruction is taught by experienced instructors and coaches through Rasmussen Swimming, with access to lessons for beginning, intermediate, and advanced swimmers. The organization states a commitment to teaching good sportsmanship and teamwork, along with stroke technique and competitive swimming strategies. The club has a reciprocal swimming agreement with Scottsdale Swim Club for times when the pool is closed, and the pool opens only when the air temperature is at least 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
