Rancho San Miguel Swim Club

Rancho San Miguel Swim Club offers the RSM Swim Team, Polar Cubs, and swim lessons. The RSM Swim Team teaches sportsmanship, teamwork, stroke technique, and competitive swimming strategies. Polar Cubs is an introductory swim program for children ages 4-6 who are not quite ready to begin swim team, and swim lessons are available as private, semi-private, and advanced group stroke classes for ages 3 and up.

• Ages: 3–18 years old
• General schedule: The season runs from mid-April to October. Pre-season practice runs April 14–June 1, Monday through Friday in the afternoon. Regular season runs June 3–July 26, Monday through Friday in the morning. Dry land training takes place on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday only; Wednesday is swim only for all groups. Practice the week of July 27 is for county qualifiers only.

About the provider

Rancho San Miguel Swim Club was established in 1959. Its mission describes it as a fun, family-oriented community recreation pool and home to the Polar Bears and Polar Cubs swim teams, with a focus on teaching good sportsmanship and teamwork along with stroke technique and competitive swimming strategies.

• Clubhouse Rental — Throughout the year · Members may rent the renovated clubhouse for private parties and functions

General swim is from the top of the hour to 50 minutes past, followed by a 10-minute rest period; age 16 and over may remain in the pool during rest period. If one trained lifeguard is working with a gatekeeper, breaks are 15 minutes starting at 45 minutes past the hour. The pool opens only if air temperature is at least 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The pool is closed to the general membership on days when the RSM Swim Team is hosting a swim meet.
