Scottsdale Swim Club

Scottsdale Swim Club offers the Scottsdale Swim Team (the Squids) and Splash Crew Swim Lessons. The swim team emphasizes fun, teamwork, sportsmanship, personal responsibility, and being competitive and successful as a team. Splash Crew Swim Lessons are open to members and non-members and are taught by Scottsdale Swim Team members with many years of swimming experience.

Programs

• SSC Swim Team — children ages 4 thru 18 · SSC is home to the Scottsdale Swim Team (the Squids). The swim team emphasizes fun, teamwork, sportsmanship, personal responsibility, and being competitive and successful as a team.
• Splash Crew Swim Lessons — ages 3 to 12 · During the Fall, lessons are available on Saturdays and Sundays. · $18–$22 per class · Open to all members and non-members. Lessons are taught by Scottsdale Swim Team members with many years of swimming experience.

About the provider

Scottsdale Swim Club has been operating since 1964. Its club facilities include a large pool with a diving area, a wading pool for younger members, grassy and shaded areas, 2 tennis courts, a large patio with tables, and a BBQ area with easy access to a kitchen.

All Mini Squids and New-to-Scottsdale swimmers must pass a water evaluation in order to participate. For the swim team, parents should make sure swimmers are prepared and ready to swim 5 minutes prior to the start of posted practice time. Suits, goggles, and caps should be on, and fins should be in hand for ages 7 and up. Swimmers with hair that may interfere with proper technique must wear swim caps. For dry land workouts, swimmers should have proper footwear. Sign ups for Splash Crew are open every Wednesday at 9:00 am for the following weekend.
