Steve & Kate’s Camp has operated since 1980, when Steve and Kate created a summer camp. The camp states that when kids are empowered to make their own choices and be their own bosses, they discover new reserves of confidence, resiliency, and creativity. Campers choose which activities they do, whom they do them with, and for how long, and families can buy any number of days and send their child to camp on any day within the season. Families can drop off and pick up at any time within camp hours, and all-inclusive rates cover all camp hours from 8:00am to 6:00pm, snacks and lunch, and any activities that interest the child. The program offers automatic full refunds for unused purchased Day Passes at the end of the season, and if a Summer Pass is underused, the difference from the daily rate is automatically refunded. Steve & Kate's Camp runs summer day camps for kids generally aged 4 to 13 years old, and also offers a Mentorship Program intended exclusively for children ages 14–15, with Mentorship Day Pass and Mentorship Summer Pass options. All campers must be fully toilet trained, able to speak up for their needs, and able to get through the camp day without a nap, and the camp has Youngest Camper Support Staff dedicated to supporting the youngest campers.

The Mentorship Program is intended exclusively for ages 14–15 and utilizes self-directed learning. Mentees help facilitate camp activities, engage with campers, and encourage camper connection and participation. Returning mentees attend at no cost under the listed “Returning Mentees: $0” rate.

Steve & Kate’s Camp is included in Bright Horizons Back-Up Care benefits. Director Jake leads this camp location. As it gets closer to summer, registered families receive a virtual camp orientation with information about what to bring and not bring. Seven Hills School, where the camp takes place, is ADA-accessible.

Testimonials about Steve & Kate’s Camp include comments from Andrew Stanton, Director of WALL-E, Finding Nemo, and Finding Dory, who says that kids “find their thumbprint at Steve & Kate’s.” Apple’s Hot News states, “If kids ruled the world, it might look something like Steve and Kate’s Camp.” Variety magazine notes that many children of people who work at Pixar and Industrial Light & Magic attend, and The Washington Post describes the camp as combining a traditional camp experience with a modern, tech-savvy touch.
