Walnut AYSO Region 624 Youth Soccer Programs offers youth soccer programs based on AYSO's Six Philosophies of Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, Open Registration, and Player Development. The program is built on volunteer support and is described as a fun, family-friendly environment. It follows AYSO’s Complete Player Development Pathway, which includes options for toddlers, adults, and participants with developmental disabilities, and division placement will be determined by school year starting in Fall 2026 instead of birth year.
The mission of Walnut AYSO Region 624 Youth Soccer Programs is: “Providing world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives.” The broader AYSO organization is involved in partnerships such as BEEUP Snacks, Chicago Public Schools, AYSO United + AYSO EPIC - Rancho Conejo, the US Center for Mental Health & Sport, and the Northland Sports Alliance in Kansas City. AYSO leadership has received recognition that includes the Stack Leadership Award given to Michael Karon, President of AYSO, for his impact in sports volunteering.
