Jim Booth Swim School offers swim lessons, open swim, and pool rental for parties. The program offers lessons at multiple locations and uses small teaching pools so students are comfortable. It uses empowering teaching techniques that lead to a little progress every day and maintains a 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio.
• Schedule: Office hours run Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm and Sunday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, with year-round lessons Monday through Thursday and on Saturdays at Duncan Holbert Pool, open swim every Saturday there, and year-round lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Toadal Fitness pool.
Jim Booth Swim School is the longest running swim school in Santa Cruz County and started 50 years ago. Its mission states that the program started 50 years ago with one goal in mind: Excellence. The program offers over 40 class times each week and shiver-free, 94-degree water in its small teaching pools, and it does not offer online registration.
