Ramah Day Camp LA states that it creates joyful experiences for Jewish children entering K–5th grade in an environment described as overflowing with chesed (kindness), wonder, and discovery, with programming infused with vibrant Jewish tradition and a focus on creating a kehillah kedoshah (sacred community). The program highlights a strong focus on Am Yisrael (the people of Israel) and Eretz Yisrael (the land of Israel), and Hebrew language is integrated into all activities. Scholarship applications are handled via FACTS, a third-party organization, and the camp notes that generous financial aid is available, with assistance for one camp session per camper.

Ramah Day Camp LA is a program of Camp Ramah in California (CRCA), which also operates Camp Ramah, a coeducational residential summer camp based in Ojai. Both camps are affiliated with the Conservative Movement and the National Ramah Commission under the educational auspices of the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies at American Jewish University. Camp Ramah in Ojai is accredited by the American Camp Association.

Parent testimonials from 2024 and 2025 describe children’s love for Judaism and Israel flourishing, appreciation for the staff, organization, communications, activities, singing, dancing, electives, and community, and note that campers are already asking to return the following summer.
