About
Abrazar Summer Program includes activities in STEM, performing arts, visual arts, history, sports, reading, and writing. The program serves children in kindergarten through 8th grade. ABRAZAR is a multigenerational and multicultural organization, and interpretation and translation services are available for all programs. Multilingual program staff speak English, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese, and a computer lab is open Monday–Friday with stated hours.

ABRAZAR has been a service provider under contract with the Office on Aging since its founding in 1975, in collaboration with United Way OC. Its mission is to promote the general welfare and prosperity of very poor to medium income seniors and families in Orange County through programs that focus on health, nutrition, socialization, lifelong learning, and economic self-sufficiency in culturally sensitive ways. The organization’s leadership team includes Gloria Reyes (CEO, Executive Director), Mario Ortega (Chief Operating Officer), Lourdes Palacios (Senior Director), Araceli Solorzano (Accounting Director), Juan Villalobos (Database Manager), Lydia Ortega (Transportation Coordinator SNEMT - Central (English/Spanish)), Jose Mendoza (Transportation Coordinator SNEMT - North (English/Spanish)), Christina Herrera (Transportation Coordinator Acacia and SMP), Maria Carmona (ADHC - VIP Centers Coordinator and Payroll), Maria Bauer (Main Receptionist (Dental)), Rosie Ochoa (Dental Assistant), Leslie Aguilar (SparkPoint Director), Jenna Stout (SparkPoint Assistant Director), Cecilia Viveros (SparkPoint Case Manager), Jury Rodriguez (SparkPoint Receptionist), Martha Sanchez (Site - ABRAZAR @ Midway City Community Center; Case Manager/Volunteer Coordinator for MECCA Socialization Program), and Jose Ceja (ASES P.R.I.D.E.
